Savvy, versatile and passionate about his craft, Vancouver-based composer Daniel Seguin is no stranger to the many facets of creating music for film and television. His work in this thriving industry has earned him various accolades including a Gemini Award (2004) for the dramatic miniseries Human Cargo; three Leo Awards (2005, 2007 & 2008) for the feature film Murder Unveiled, the short film Will of the Wisp and John Zaritsky’s critically acclaimed documentary The Suicide Tourist; and praise from the Canadian film festival circuit.

Daniel’s journey into music began with studies in classical saxophone at the Conservatoire de musique du Quebec. He went on to train in Jazz Performance and Arranging at Toronto’s Humber College, under the guidance of such luminaries as Pat LaBarbera (Buddy Rich), Ron Collier (Duke Ellington) and CBC lead trumpet, Don Johnson.

In his more than 20 years as a music industry professional Daniel has embraced a variety of roles: from composer to arranger, orchestrator to sound designer, and multi- instrumentalist, he wears many hats in the studio.

With an open mind, an ear to all angles of music and an unparalleled commitment to excellence, Daniel has led Segway Music Productions since 1996.
