The Swing Shift Orchestra was formed in Vancouver in 2009 by vocalist Karyn Way and saxophonist Daniel Séguin. This 12 piece Jazz big band (plus singer!) features some of Vancouver’s best musicians aged ranging from 25 to 75!
Our repertoire includes arrangements of songs by all the great artists from the Swing Era like, Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw. We also have an extensive list of songs covering many different dance styles including Rhumba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Waltz, Bossa Nova and Polka to name a few.
